Now that the trailer is safely home and I have a basic game plans, the first thing that needs to be done is get all of the worn and weathered plywood off the frame, so we can see what we have to work with.
Based on the half-dozen different types of bolts, screws, and nails holding the plywood on it became very apparent that this trailer has lived many lives and probably passed through many owners on it’s journey to me.
After a bit of a struggle with broken, stripped, and rusted in screws, I able to get get all of the plywood removed and was happy to find that the floor grating was in very good condition!
Much better than expected!
